War was chosen to be a leader of Team Universe 3 for the Tournament of Might. He protects his teammates during the tournament and eliminates Layla of Universe 2. At the end of the tournament War and Vegeta who was weakend and tired are the last fighters on the ring and War wins by eliminating him thus saving Universe 3 from erasure and winning the Tournament of Might.
